Kaiseki – Japanese Fine Dining
When you stay at a fairly decent hotel in the countryside, or at a more local “Ryokan” (Japanese style traditional inn), the evening meal is likely to be as in the picture below – a feast of small dishes that are an experience with every bite.

You make love like a Japanese meal – small portions but so many courses.

“Kaiseki” is absolutely awesome when combined with an overnight stay at a hot spring resort or local inn and a traditional Japanese style room with Tatami straw mats and futon bedding. A view from the window of the countryside, or the sound of a nearby river make for one of the most complete experiences you will have in Japan. Pay the money and do it at least once!
