Kaisendon at Matsushima

While in Matsushima you have to try some of the local seafood. The area is famous for its oysters and Japan does a great job of deep frying food so as you can expect, some of the best oysters you will try are at Matsushima.

A recommended place is Takaraya (map), which is on the road between the station and the boat pier. There are other places so by all means check out the reviews on Google maps, but this place’s presentation is excellent and half the experience of Japanese food is with the eyes.
