Nagasaki is a city in the far west of Japan in the Island of Kyushu. Access is usually by air to the local airport although train links are avaliable for those with a JR pass making their way west from Tokyo. From Hataka Station (which is the last stop on the Tokaido Bullet Train) a local express will get you to Nagasaki in 2 hours.
